Construction of a wood biomass boiler plant in the Municipality of Slovenj Gradec |

On 14th October 2020, a contract was signed with the client PC Komunala Slovenj Gradec (public utility company) for the construction of a wood biomass boiler plant. The new wood biomass boiler plant, which will provide thermal energy for 1.468 customers, will contribute to meeting the requirements of the Energy Act, namely that at least 50% of the heat is produced from renewable energy sources. It will also make a sustainable contribution to the conservation of non-renewable energy sources and to the reduction of emissions into the atmosphere and carbon neutrality. Completion of construction and start of operation of the boiler plant is scheduled for September 2021.

The new building will have a gross floor area of 544.75 m2. As part of the project, in addition to the new construction of the building and the arrangement of the square, the arrangement of 150 m of local road (Ljubljanska cesta) will be carried out, where two-way traffic and 141 m of one-way local road through Stari trg will be arranged. The premises in the newly built building will be intended for young artists and apartments. As part of the arrangement of the Old Market core, the associated market will be regulated, which will be closed to all motor traffic. The estimated time for the implementation of the project is 380 days from the start of work.
