Renovation of secondary systems on Dravograd, Vuzenica in Mariborski otok hydropower plants – LOT STR |
December 2021:
At the end of December 2021, the lead partner Esotech, d.d., together with his partner Litostroj Power d.o.o., signed a contract with the client Dravske elektrarne Maribor d.o.o. , for the renovation of secondary systems on Dravograd, Vuzenica in Mariborski otok hydropower plants – LOT STR.
Scope of works covers the replacement of most sensors and actuators and conversion of devices with goal to improving the operation and correction of deficiencies identified during the current operation. The services will be provided on individual and auxiliary mechanical devices, namely hydropower plants, where Esotech, d.d. had already carried out the revitalisation of key equipment more than 20 years ago. The contractual deadline for carrying out the works is 30.9.2025.

New wood biomass boiler plant Slovenj Gradec handed over for use |
October 2021:
Esotech, d.d. completed the construction of a new wood biomass boiler plant in Slovenj Gradec in September 2021, in accordance with the contractual schedule. On Monday, October 18th, 2021, the new boiler plant was ceremoniously handed over for use to the Public Utility Company "Komunala Slovenj Gradec d.o.o."
The new wood biomass boiler plant, which provides thermal energy for 1.468 customers, contributes to meeting the requirements of the Energy Act, namely that at least 50% of the heat is produced from renewable energy sources. It also makes a sustainable contribution to the conservation of non-renewable energy sources and to the reduction of emissions into the atmosphere and carbon neutrality.

Successfully completed project »Implementation of works - CTN project Revitalization of the Old Town core |
September 2021:
In July 2020, a contract was signed with the Municipality of Velenje for the implementation of complete works (civil, craft, installations,…) for the CTN project Revitalization of the Old Town core. The project included the removal of the existing building, the arrangement of a new square and the construction of a new building in the southern part of the old town core, which is partly a replacement construction of the building that was removed some time ago. As part of the project, the entire renovation of "Staro Velenje" (Velenje old town) was carried out, which included the renovation and reconstruction of the infrastructure on "Ljubljanska cesta" (Ljubljanska road) and "Cesta v Stari trg" (road to the Old square).
With works on the project, starting with the demolition of the "Old Bakery"" building, we began in August 2020. In September 2020, the implementation of complete works (civil, craft, installations,…) works began. As part of the project, in addition to the planned execution of works, the parking lot in front of the "Stari trg 35" office building, the "Stari trg 36" and 25 buildings and the courtyard in front of the "Ljubljanska cesta 1" building were also arranged.
The project was successfully completed in September 2021 and handed over to the investor – the Municipality of Velenje.

The traditional sports and social meeting of Esotech employees, d.d. |
July 2021:
On July 2, 2021, taking into account the measures of the NIJZ (National institute of Public Health), we organized the 46th traditional meeting of "svinčnikarjev, šraufencigerjev and rorcangerjev" in Šentilj. Attendance at the meeting was remarkable, as two years have passed since the last meeting (due to COVID-19). Due to the nature of our work, some co-workers do not see each other often in person, so this year's participation showed that we want an appreciate such meetings.
After the addressing speech of the President of the Board, Mr. Marko Škoberne and the director of assembly, Mr. Bogdan Špegel, the sports part of the meeting began. In the sports part, teams competed in football, basketball, volleyball, table football,... This year, in all disciplines, “šraufencigerji in rorcangerji” celebrated in front of “svinčnikarji” players. Drago Pavlič and Matej Planinc showed the most skills in table football (as they have done for several years now).
