Zlatoličje, December 6th, 2007: On the biggest canal power station in Slovenia – HE Zlatoličje we have installed the first of two drivers.
The replacement
of the turbine and generator equipment on the aggregate no. 2 began
on July 2nd,
2007, and turned into the second phase with the installation of
rotating and most important parts of the turbine after the successful
takeover of the driver ring after placing of concrete and the guide
vane. Installation of the driver means that after the renovation of
concrete parts the aggregate assembly begins.
Installation of
the driver was demanding also with regard to logistics, as the driver
weighs 96 tons, whereas its diameter is 5894mm. The whole transport
composition, which arrived at the construction site, was over 30m
long. The entire installation process was also followed by the media
as a matter of interest and also as an important event.
But we
are now facing new assembly challenges, such as, for example, the
assembly of the turbine shaft, discharger, rotor, electrical
equipment, construction works, etc., which will be in line with the
time schedule completed until March 2008. Hence, the implementation
team will spend this year’s holidays in a working spirit.
