The president of the Esotech management board Marko Škoberne and the president of the Elektra basketball club Darko Lihteneker have by signing a new sponsorship contract for the 2007/2008 season confirmed a mutual wish of further motivation of ELEKTRA ESOTECH in achieving the set goals.  

ELEKTRA ESOTECH members’ team entered the new season highly reorganized and rejuvenated, as now the average age of players is 21.5 years. The coach, Ivan Stanišak, believes the wish of all players to play good games will contribute to the club’s goal – classification into the League Play-Off, which joins 8 of the best Slovenian basketball teams, including Union Olimpija. The players began their preparations for the new season already in the beginning of August.  
 
Esotech has been the sponsor of the Elektra basketball club since the 2005/2006 season, when the members’ team achieved its greatest success, the 4th place in Slovenia. This was followed by the classification among the 5 best teams. But the wish of players as well as the club’s management for the new season is to invite all the best Slovenian basketball teams into the Šaleška valley.    
 
The Elektra basketball club also continues its tradition with regard to organizing the 4th Matjaž Natko Memorial, which will take place on September 21st and 22nd in Šoštanj. Next to the home club, three other first league teams from Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria will appear.
