July 2020:

On Thursday, July 9, 2020, Esotech, d.d. signed a contract with the Municipality of Velenje for carry out the CTN project Revitalization of the Old Town core. Within the CTN projects, and especially the last CTN project, the employer would like to renovate and revive the Old Town core in Staro Velenje, which is also protected as a cultural monument.

The scope of the contract works are: demolition of the "old bakery" building and construction of a new building; construction of the necessary infrastructure network, connections, facilities and devices; comprehensive external arrangement (driveways, accesses, paved areas next to the building, green areas), which means a comprehensive arrangement of the old market core without motor traffic and a corresponding change in the traffic regime.

The new building will have a gross floor area of 544.75 m². As part of the project, in addition to the new construction of the building and the arrangement of the square, the arrangement of 150 m of local road (Ljubljanska cesta) will be carried out, where two-way traffic and 141 m of one-way local road through Stari trg will be arranged. The premises in the newly built building will be intended for young artists and apartments. As part of the arrangement of the Old Market core, the associated market will be regulated, which will be closed to all motor traffic. The estimated time for the implementation of the project is 380 days from the start of work.
